1. Who you're buying from
Aethelgard is operated by Alexander Wilson, trading as Aethelgard, with business licensing in the United Arab Emirates. Contact:aethelgard.store@gmail.com. Trade license number and registered address are shown on the invoice issued with every order.
2. What these terms cover
These terms apply to every purchase made through this website. By placing an order you confirm you've read them — they're short on purpose, and nothing here removes rights the law gives you that we can't contract out of.
3. Orders and acceptance
Your order is an offer to buy. A contract forms when we accept it — which happens when your payment is confirmed and your order confirmation email is sent. In the unlikely event an item is unavailable after you order (e.g. the blank goes out of stock at our fulfilment partner), we'll contact you and refund that item in full.
4. Pricing and payment
Prices are shown in your local currency for convenience and charged in US dollars. The charge applied at checkout is the final price for the goods; shipping is calculated separately by destination. Card payments are processed by Stripe — we never see or store your card details.
5. Products and how they're made
Every piece is produced to order and individually decorated, so slight variations in garment dye, stitch placement, and colour are natural and not defects. Colours on screen vary from device to device; we photograph and describe honestly within that limit. Made-to-order production takes 2–5 business days before dispatch.
6. Delivery
We ship worldwide. Delivery estimates — not guarantees — are published on our Shipping & Returns page. Risk of loss passes to you on delivery. If a parcel is lost in transit, contact us — we replace or refund, and we chase the carrier, not you.
7. Returns and refunds
Our full returns policy — including the 30-day remedy promise for anything misprinted, damaged, or wrong — lives on the Shipping & Returns page and forms part of these terms. In short: faulty or non-conforming goods are refunded or replaced within 30 days of delivery, no argument. Change-of-mind returns aren't accepted because each piece is made to order and can't be resold.
8. Statutory rights (UAE)
Under UAE consumer protection law (Federal Law No. 15 of 2020, as amended), you have the right to receive goods that match their description, are of satisfactory quality, and are fit for purpose. If they aren't, you have the right to a repair, replacement, or refund as the law provides. Nothing in these terms limits those rights.
9. Liability
We're responsible to you for loss caused by our breach of these terms or our negligence, as the law requires. We're not liable for losses that aren't a foreseeable result of either. Nothing here excludes liability that can't lawfully be excluded.
10. Your data
We handle personal data as described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Nothing here affects mandatory consumer rights you have under the law of your country of residence, which may apply to your order alongside UAE law.
